1. Donald Trump files White House candidacy papers Former United States President Donald Trump has filed papers to contest for the post of president again. He filed his documents establishing his candidacy to run for the presidency again in 2024, CNN reported. The announcement comes after the mid-term elections held in the US. 2. Russian missile attack kills two in Poland near Ukraine border- Russia pounded Ukraine’s energy facilities with its biggest barrage of missiles yet, striking targets across the country and causing widespread blackouts. A senior U.S. intelligence official said missiles crossed into NATO member Poland, where two people were killed. 3. RBI Governor to meet CEOs of banks; to discuss slow deposit growth Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das will hold a meeting with CEOs of public sector banks on Wednesday to discuss issues concerning slow deposit growth and sustainability of high credit demand. As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data, deposits rose by 9.6 per cent as compared to 10.2 per cent on a year-on-year basis, while credit offtake witnessed a jump of 17.9 per cent as against 6.5 per cent a year ago. 4. PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with 8 leaders at G-20 today Apart from the formal sessions at the G-20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with US President Joseph Biden, and also exchanged words with Chinese President Xi Jinping, their first such meeting in three years. On Wednesday, PM Modi is expected to hold a number of more structured, bilateral meetings with at least eight of the 16 leaders present in Bali for the annual meeting of the world’s most advanced economies, including his first such interaction with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni. 5. PM to inaugurate Bengaluru Tech Summit virtually Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the silver jubilee edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS 22) virtually on Wednesday. Karnataka IT and BT Minister C N Ashwath Narayan said on Tuesday, the three-day event at the Bengaluru Palace grounds will witness signing of nine MoUs and launch of over 20 products. 6. Calcutta HC to hear ex-Andaman chief secretary’s plea against arrest A writ petition filed by former chief secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jitendra Narain, challenging his arrest was heard before the Port Blair circuit bench of Calcutta High Court on Tuesday. The division bench comprising Justices Subrata Talukdar and Rabindranath Samanta heard the arguments of both sides and adjourned the court till Wednesday, when the matter will again come up for hearing at 3 pm, Lawyer Pathik Das, appearing for the rape survivor, said. 7. BSF, BGB to undertake simultaneous coordinated patrols India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and its Bangladeshi counterpart BGB have agreed to undertake simultaneous coordinated patrols, both during day and night, along the border shared by the two countries. The decision was taken during the Border Coordination Conference between inspectors general of the BSF and region commanders of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), which began on Sunday evening and will conclude on Wednesday. 8.
