PM Modi to inaugurate over 3,000 EWS flats in Delhi on Wednesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 3,024 newly constructed Economically Weaker Section flats in Delhi as part of an in-situ slum rehabilitation project on Wednesday evening, his office has said. During the programme at Vigyan Bhawan, the slum dwellers at Bhoomihin camp will also be handed over keys to the flats, thereby giving them the ownership and a sense of security, a PMO statement said. 2. âInvest Karnatakaâ meet from today Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the inaugural function of âInvest Karnataka 2022â, a global investorsâ meet being held in Bengaluru, on Wednesday via video conferencing. The Prime Ministerâs Office said the meet is aimed at attracting prospective investors and setting up development agenda for the next decade. 3. Rains lash Tamil Nadu, Chennai witnesses record showers It was record rains for Chennai and suburbs on Tuesday that began overnight, leading to inundation in a string of localities in city and on the outskirts, while two persons were killed in rain related incidents. For the first time in three decades, Nungambakkam, a core city area recorded 8 CM in a single day and suburban Red Hills 13 CM followed by 12 CM in Perambur, also in the city. 4. Arrangements complete for first phase polls to elect panches, sarpanches in Haryana: EC Haryana State Election Commissioner Dhanpat Singh has said all preparations pertaining to the first phase voting to elect panches and sarpanches on Wednesday have been completed. The polling will be held to elect 2,607 sarpanches and 25,968 panches in nine districts: Bhiwani, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Mahendragarh, Nuh, Panchkula, Panipat and Yamunanagar. 7.
