Cyclone Sitrang intensifies into a severe storm The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an advisory after a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal intensified into a cyclone Sunday evening. The cyclone, named âSitrangâ by Thailand, is expected to make its landfall on the Bangladesh coast, between Tinkona Island and Sandwip, early morning on Tuesday. 3. Boris Johnson drops U.K. Prime Minister comeback bid, Sunak favourite to win Rishi Sunak looked set to become Britainâs next Prime Minister after Boris Johnson withdrew from the contest on Sunday, saying that although he had enough support to make the final ballot he realised the country and the Conservative Party needed unity. 4.
