Centre to launch special campaign focussing on cleanliness in government offices today Union Minister Jitendra Singh will launch a special campaign in New Delhi today focussing on cleanliness and reducing pendency in government offices, according to an official statement. Until now, more than 67,000 sites have been identified by ministries/departments of the Government of India for conducting the cleanliness campaigns, the statement issued on Saturday said. 2. LS Secretariat to organise a special programme for students on the occasion of 153rd Gandhi Jayanti About 100 students from across the country will participate in an event in the Central Hall of Parliament to mark the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi today, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said. The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports have selected 99 students from several schools and colleges for the event. 3. President Murmu to present 6 cleanliness awards today President Droupadi Murmu will confer six awards as part of Swachh Bharat Diwas celebrations on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi today. The awards are - Swachh Survekshan Grameen (SSG) 2022, Swachhta Hi Sewa 2022, Sujlam 1.0 & 2.0, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Functionality Assessment, Har Ghar Jal certification and Start-up Grand Challenge, according to an official statement. 4. Prashant Kishor to embark on 3,500-km ‘padyatra’ in Bihar from today Political strategist Prashant Kishor will embark on a 3,500 km ‘padyatra’ in Bihar from West Champaran district on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary as part of his ‘Jan Suraj’ campaign. The yatra is likely to take anywhere between 12-18 months and it is being widely seen to be a likely precursor to his entry into politics even though he has often stressed that any such decision can only be taken by people who associate themselves with his campaign. 5.
