RBI's rate-setting panel to start 3-day meet today, another rate hike likely The Reserve Bank's rate-setting panel will start its 3-day deliberations on Wednesday amid expectations of yet another rate hike of 50 basis points to check high inflation, in line with similar actions taken by other major central banks, including the US Fed. 2. Meanwhile, the court on Tuesday heard the arguments on the discharge plea of another accused, Sudhir Dhawale. The arguments will continue on Wednesday. 5. Delhi Waqf Board irregularities: Court reserves order on bail plea of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan A Delhi court on September 26 sent AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan to 14 days of judicial custody in a case related to alleged irregularities in the Delhi Waqf Board recruitment. Special Judge Vikas Dhull said the order would be pronounced on Wednesday. 6. HC begins hearing Anil Deshmukh's bail plea in money laundering case Mr. Deshmukh's lawyers concluded their arguments and the court will hear the arguments of the Enforcement Directorate's counsel on Wednesday. 7. SC sets up another five-judge Constitution bench, to hear batch of pleas against demonetisation At present three five-judge Constitution benches headed by Chief Justice UU Lalit and Justices DY Chandrachud and Sanjay Kishan Kaul are hearing various contentious issues, which were pending for years. The fourth Constitution bench will be headed by Justice S Abdul Nazeer and would comprise Justices B R Gavai, A S Bopanna, V Ramasubramanian, and BV Nagarathna which will hear five cases starting from Wednesday. 8. Pak PM Sharif summons NSC meet to discuss audio leaks from PMO Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) on September 27 to deliberate on the audio leaks from the Prime Minister's Office that have triggered a controversy with the Opposition demanding his resignation. 9.
