1. Operation Ganga continues The Indian Aviation Ministry has said that 11 civilian flights and four operated by Indian Air Force will bring back stranded Indians on Saturday. As part of the government’s ‘Operation Ganga’, 14 civilian flights mounted by Indian airlines brought back 3,142 people till now and three C-17 flights by the Indian Air Force brought back 630 Indians from Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. 2. Manipur Assembly polls: Second phase of voting on Saturday There are 92 candidates in fray for 22 seats, as second phase of voting begins for Manipur Assembly polls. The stakes for the Congress are higher than arch-rival BJP in this second and final phase of polling. 3. Warne’s international career spanned 15 years and saw him take 708 Test wickets — No. 2 in the list of Test wicket-takers. Since making his debut in 1992, he played 145 Tests for Australia, picking up 708 wickets with his leg-spin.
