1. PM Modi to hold Council of Ministers meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a meeting with the Council of Ministers on December 29. The meeting will take place at 4 p.m. 2. COVID-19 | Yellow alert in Delhi Amid a scare about the spread of the Omicron variant, the Delhi government on Sunday had decided to re-impose night curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. According to a graded response action plan, a ''Yellow'' alert has come into force in Delhi, bringing a set of restrictions. States like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka and Kerala have also reimposed night curfew. 5. Severe Brazil flooding spreads in Bahia and beyond A total of 116 cities in the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia were in a state of emergency because of flooding due to heavy rains that have been pounding the region since the end of November. The federal government has authorised emergency spending totalling 80 million reais ($14.2 million) for Bahia alone. Additional funds will be directed to other regions also affected by the rains in recent weeks, and which are still suffering the consequences. 6.
