The programme is being held as per Mr. Modi's vision to empower women, especially at the grassroots level, by providing them with necessary skills, incentives and resources, the PMO said, adding that he will transfer an amount of ₹1000 crore in the bank account of Self Help Groups (SHGs), benefitting around 16 lakh women members. 2. President Ram Nath Kovind on a three-day visit to Kerala President Ram Nath Kovind will arrive in Kochi on Tuesday on a three-day visit to Kerala. During his visit to the southern State, the President will attend various events in Kasaragod, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, an official release said. It said the President will be the chief guest at the 5th Convocation of the Central University of Kerala to be held at Kasaragod Periya Campus on Tuesday. 3. Counting in Zila Parishad, Panchayat Samiti elections in 4 districts of Rajasthan Counting of votes for the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in Baran, Kota, Ganganagar and Karauli districts of Rajasthan will be held on Tuesday. In view of cold conditions, counting at the district headquarters would begin two hours late — at 11 a.m. instead of 9 a.m., an official said. 4. Andhra Pradesh to launch OTS for govt-sanctioned houses Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would be formally launching ‘Jagananna Sampoorna Gruha Hakku’ (One-Time Settlement scheme) for government-sanctioned houses on Tuesday. Under the scheme, registration with full rights on their house would be given to over 52 lakh beneficiaries, an official press release said on Monday. 5. Kejriwal to visit poll-bound Goa Ahead of 2022 Goa Polls, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will commence his two-day visit to Goa from today. He will land at Dabolim Airport and will address a public meeting at Bandodkar Ground in Panaji at 5 p.m. 6. BJP chief Nadda to address two public meetings during Goa visit BJP president J. P. Nadda is coming on a two-day visit to poll-bound Goa on Tuesday, a party spokesman said on Monday. He will address two public meetings at Shiroda and Quepem, respectively, in south Goa, he said. Later, he will release a report card of ten years of BJP government in Goa and flag off of a 'Sankalp' rath near BJP's head office in Panaji, the spokesman added. 7. Rohini court blast accused under observation at AIIMS after suicide bid; tests to be conducted The condition of the senior DRDO scientist arrested for "planting explosives" inside the Rohini district court is stable and he is under observation at AIIMS, police said on Monday, a day after he allegedly attempted suicide by consuming hand wash in a washroom while in custody. "A few tests were conducted today (Monday) as part of his treatment, while the remaining tests will be conducted tomorrow (Tuesday)," said a senior police officer. 8. Cold wave in northwest India to continue till Wednesday: IMD Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are very likely to continue in northwest India over the next two days and abate thereafter, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday. Cold wave conditions will continue over central and east India for the next three days and relief is likely thereafter, it said. 9. UP have slight edge over Himachal; TN-Karnataka set for interesting QF clash An in-form Uttar Pradesh will fancy their chances against Himachal Pradesh while Tamil Nadu face a stiff challenge against a resurgent Karnataka when two of the quarter-final matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy are played on Tuesday.
