Delhi's air quality continues to be in 'poor' category for fourth day running The air quality in Delhi remained poor for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday with stubble burning accounting for 12% of the national capital's PM2.5 pollution, government data showed. According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences' air quality forecast agency SAFAR, over 1,800 farm fires were observed in the northwest region of Delhi on Friday. 2. Railway to issue Mumbai suburban train tickets for MPSC exam The Central Railway on Friday night announced it will issue tickets to candidates, invigilators and support staff required to conduct an examination of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) for travelling in suburban trains in Mumbai on Saturday and Sunday. At present, only passes and not daily tickets are issued to commuters wanting to travel by Mumbai's suburban trains. 5. BJD to stage protest across Odisha over price rise The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha Saturday announced a series of protests across the State targeting the BJP-led Central government over the spiralling rise in the prices of fuel and other essential commodities. This was announced by party spokespersons and senior MLAs â P. K. Deb, Atanu S. Nayak and Pramila Mallick â at a press meet in Bhubaneswar. 6. SpaceX delays astronaut flight due to rough wind, wave SpaceX has bumped its next astronaut flight for NASA until Wednesday because of rough wind and waves hundreds of miles away. Four astronauts were supposed to blast off early Sunday morning on a six-month mission to the International Space Station. But while the forecast at NASA's Kennedy Space Center was near perfect, a large storm in the Northeast had the sea churning farther up the coast. The safety violation prompted managers on Saturday to move the launch. 7. "The BCCI had sent a letter to all the franchises, updating them about the new rules where four retentions will cost a team â¹42 crore while three retentions will lead to reduction of â¹33 crore," a senior IPL franchise official said.
