Experience Vienna's Great Music Masters with Dr. Robert Greenberg and Save! Storytelling and the Hum

Experience Vienna's Great Music Masters with Dr. Robert Greenberg and Save! Storytelling and the Human Condition [View Web Version]( [Wondrium Journeys]( Real Life. Real Adventure. [Wondrium Journeys]( April 15–21, 2024 Book ahead and enjoy an Early Bird Discount of $250pp/$500 per couple now through December 31*. Dear Lifelong Learner, Known as the “Capital of Classical Music,” Vienna is a unique city of musical heritage. What New Orleans is to jazz and Liverpool is to British rock and roll, Vienna is to the concert music of the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries—the place where an extravaganza of talent gathered, composed, and performed their music. The composers who—at one time or another—called Vienna home reads like a “Who’s Who” of Western concert music: Joseph Haydn, Antonio Salieri, Wolfgang Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Carl Czerny, Franz Schubert, Johann Strauss (Sr. and Jr.), Johannes Brahms, Gustav Mahler, Arnold Schoenberg, Alban Berg, and so many others. There is hardly an avenue, street, or alley in central Vienna that doesn’t exude the spirit of extraordinary music. Of the apartments, theaters, cafes, and restaurants where these brilliant composers lived, worked, and dined, many structures still exist, although many are gone. During our Wondrium Journeys travel adventure, [Great Music Masters of Vienna]( we’ll visit places like Haydn’s lovely home (and stand in his bedroom where he died on May 31, 1809); the flat where Mozart composed, among many other masterworks, The Marriage of Figaro in 1786; the theater in which Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony received its premiere on December 22, 1808; and the spot where Schubert was born, at the foot of the hearth in his family’s kitchen, on January 31, 1797. These fascinating places, and the stories they tell, testify to the lives of these great composers. By experiencing something of the world they experienced, we’ll gain deep insight into the music they composed—music that was, to no small degree, a reaction to the city in which they lived. I hope you’ll join me for what should be a life-changing musical and travel experience. Sincerely, [Dr. Robert Greenberg] Dr. Robert Greenberg [Book Now]( *Discount is valid on any trip.
