[At this point in time, is owning an amp even necessary?]( wharf rat · Feb 20, 2023 at 6:57 PM · Replies 101 Tonex just released, tons of great hardware with Fractal / Line 6, plugins, etc. At this point in time, for a guy who’ll never play out, is there a point in even getting an amp anymore? I get it, there will be people who say: “I remember when they said tube amps were going away 30 years ago... Forum [Digital & Modeling Gear]( [Read more](
[Will the Beatles ever be topped?]( MERCYFULFATE · Feb 21, 2023 at 7:12 PM · Replies 126 It seems every Artist cites the Beatles as their main inspiration and reason they got into music. I’ll admit it took a while for me. Wasn’t a fan of their earlier music but love their later years (the drug years). Your take? Forum [The Sound Hound Lounge]( [Read more](

[Why do people hate PRS?]( humabout · Feb 20, 2023 at 10:43 PM · Replies 177 I keep seeing tongue-in-cheek and not so joking suggestions that PRS guitars suck. Why? Latest: Personally i think the body shapes and headstocks on PRS guitars are pretty ugly so i wouldnt buy a PRS for that reason alone. Im sure they are good guitars though... [Gretsch custom shop worth it?]( Reyybarra · Feb 22, 2023 at 12:10 AM · Replies 5 Wondering if anyone has any experience. Looking at a special project based on a Gretsch, but not sure if it’s worth going to the custom shop or hitting up a builder. I’m assuming their prices are probably similar to an actual luthier these days. What’s workmanship like? What are thier limits... Forum [Guitars in General]( [Read more](
[They make you the CEO of Gibson as of tomorrow. What's your plan?]( morganjj · Apr 21, 2022 at 5:27 AM · Replies 432 Lots of threads about everything Gibson does wrong, or how they're doomed. What's more interesting for me is : what would you do differently? What's your 2023 strategy that puts Gibson on top of their game? New axes? Old ones? Diversify? Solidify? Cheaper? More super premium stuff? Where do... Forum [Guitars in General]( [Read more](

[If Martin had a lifetime warranty on their guitars in 1995, will they do a neck reset for free?]( Bobbybigbucks · Feb 21, 2023 at 11:43 AM · Replies 22 I have a '95 000-16 that I bought new and registered with them at the time. It needs a neck reset. I've strung it with light gauge strings for it's entire life. What say you? If the answer is yes, how long is the present turnaround time? While I'm at it, who knows of a good luthier in the... Forum [Acoustic Instruments]( [Read more](

[What is your preferred tap-dancing routine for drive?]( jdalew619 · Feb 21, 2023 at 10:32 PM · Replies 7 Just added another drive pedal to my chain (now I have three), and I took it for a spin with my strat at a rehearsal. I struggled a lot getting what I wanted, but I also got some great controllable feedback too, which was awesome. I did a lot of tapdancing and knob-turning. Too much. Which... [8 X 8'' guitar cabinet?]( mistermig · Feb 21, 2023 at 4:53 AM · Replies 16 I'm just curious if anybody has ever built or seen a guitar cab that was an 8x8. The Marshall tall 8x10 slant cab was always something that caught my curiousity, but the 8x8 is something I still want to build. Personally, I don't think many people give 8's proper credit for what they are... Forum [Amps and Cabs]( [Read more](
[TONEX Pedal. It's here and its only US $399]( benifin · Feb 16, 2023 at 5:28 AM · Replies 1K You can't with the Tonex. You could go without the delay and looper and just use the Tonex pedal, but if you wanted the pedals after it also in your headphone mix, you need something else. I'm going straight into my Focusrite 18i20, with a feed to my power amp and cabinet. You could also get by with a small mixer with a headphone out...
