The Gear Page Weekly Update - Trending Threads: This May Be The Coolest Vintage Strat I've Ever Touc

The Gear Page Weekly Update - Trending Threads: This May Be The Coolest Vintage Strat I've Ever Touched I just finished refretting this gorgeous Stratocaster. Gave it a new bone nut, too. This incredible 1959 blonde hardtail Strat may be the prettiest guitar I’ve ever seen. It is also a historic instrument, having belonged to Clifford Antone of Austin’s world famous Antone’s Club, where it was the “house guitar” for years. Everybody from Stevie Ray Vaughn, to Jimmie Vaughn, to Buddy Guy, to Otis Rush and everybody else who came through Antone's has played this guitar. Not only does it look stunning, it sounds absolutely spectacular. To add insult to injury, it is light as a feather at 6lbs 9oz. Sigh... Thankfully, it belongs to a very good friend and I will get the opportunity to play in on a gig one of these days. Maybe some magical DNA will rub off on me.
