The Federalist is suing the federal government for its illegal and unconstitutional censorship scheme that violates our First Amendment rights. For years, we have covered the powerful censorship-industrial complex and how it works to keep conservative news and information from being read even as it helps spread left-wing disinformation. Our [in-depth investigations](=.ddj1ZI-FbR7FjdNc-PZf3ZHLgBKA2e1ZYhhZIrOFf7k) have shown how [various federal agencies](=.yRTGe6zHrK6LnICrwYX63lE-XQ-OTpWQM7V-vnN88Q8) have [worked](=.rNmRj0Xlh_gF5adqpIpEH8VUDZ3xU50VdHLwFRGD120) with [left-wing groups](=.xrukX86M0Jrr6kuQ8uQDKP1agLwByJiLL9cr5q_FbCw) and [Big Tech](=.fM9aElJGhHyMrixFXiwDpECKvJj9lVGmMoe6uLcrcHs) to [disfavor journalism](=.X8qqIZrl63AOCXrD5CbwDzRg9ujE5VVUo3Lp1AJbIoA) that [fights the DC rot](=.oZN9CIIAf9-ajkO_JkyUgxn1tFfTc-9Kn86lm50XhC4) and to [favor stories](=.uMx2Pf1T-lq5CTv-6NHtWxH70chkhjz_wsGHqdyKGoA) that [support the beltway establishment](=.YcerZuNikhIN2eSZ96wpgSPn0BmRHb6CPrXW7O_5K68). =.q1enuBhV9Ws_XM5nuy4X7oHshTvMbmD2vnU5BszI35I [Support Our Fight](=.P0G0WwLOCDOjbxCg6lufWwzxPuSokfHoxIhnU0H__-o) We will continue to provide the hard-hitting reporting and insightful analysis that exposes the tentacles of this un-American censorship scheme. And now we’re doing something more. We’re [suing the State Department](=.hxlU-OJvSlACfnf-tM-SwQUCrAazOQZOcqjDEL_tIBQ) for its central role funding the infrastructure, development, and marketing and promotion of censorship technology and private censorship enterprises in order to unconstitutionally demonetize and suppress The Federalist. We want to do everything we can to stop one of the most audacious, manipulative, secretive, and gravest abuses of power and infringements of First Amendment rights by the federal government in American history. We’re grateful to be joined in this effort by The Daily Wire, the state of Texas, and the New Civil Liberties Alliance. Here's why we're suing this corrupt agency: The State Department is illegally using a counterterrorism center intended to fight foreign “disinformation” instead to stop American citizens from speaking and listening to information government officials dislike. Through grants and product development assistance to private entities like NewsGuard and the Global Disinformation Index (GDI), the State Department is actively intervening in the news-media market to render disfavored press outlets unprofitable by funding the infrastructure, development, marketing, and promotion of censorship technology to be used against REAL news outlets like The Federalist. While these private companies use taxpayer dollars to silence real journalism, they cozy up to media outlets like The New York Times, Washington Post, and other left-wing media who pushed the Russia collusion hoax, the Kavanaugh smear, Covid hysteria, and other fake news. As you may have seen recently, Congressional investigations in November [revealed](=.qMQuuEts7o9zdw9PsoBfS-TYJq3rrwTR_uYyRAapyfE) that federal officials have specifically targeted me, our CEO Sean Davis, and The Federalist’s reporting for censorship. I’ll keep you updated on how this lawsuit progresses. In the meantime, please support us in our efforts to oppose the censorship regime by donating to our mission at [thefederalist.com/donate](=.BK30F1rk4tEp-3jHCVZP4Or0xgj9oaIrtUY1DOQx8GY). Any amount helps. Thank you for joining the fight.
