[View in browser](=.5eKloTQdDS46hli2Ei6dv_vPqryTTST-_k6XnuaU60k) Dear Reader, In reporting that Israel bombed the Gaza hospital and killed hundreds, [media proved they have no real interest in fighting disinformation](=.95cZyZfhtbgsq1aHsWY3GQPSApQdxraNuQmjsXFERP4). “Israeli Strike Kills Hundreds in Hospital, Palestinians Say,” The New York Times [proclaimed](=.zC4zn3cw0D_pQMFs9X43cFUmqHTuLTyACx6jbMF72kI) on Tuesday, following an explosion outside a Gaza hospital. Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, both known for their grossly antisemitic pasts, quickly spread the story on X—doubling down on blaming Israel for the attack. Turns out, Hamas was responsible for the hospital strike. Crazy right? The Israel Defense Force promptly [countered](=.46d1TiPL8fA5zxtAydOck7RYHWEwUW9Xr8Wc-MrtUf4) the claims, stating Hamas was responsible for the rocket. Since then, “the Pentagon independently [concluded](=.5q6bhU1gtWTTl47Vs3xV9QgYcPvyjPbtk51Ag9Kth8o) the Gaza hospital blast was likely caused by an errant Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket that fell short of its target.” [We know corporate media are biased](=._FGPoBly2f-cEzDLajtAAkq7thW2z4ulYRmfoji6Dg4), but the reporting on Gaza shows they’re willing to be propagandists — even if their false reports are likely to get people killed. As you know, we are in the midst of an information war—and this is just the latest propaganda battle corporate media have decided to engage in. As [The Federalist’s John Davidson wrote](=.VtFItKFjEtl7tvNoyHIBacNq0gRW5dWVUit8-if1WI4): “For those on the right, it’s long past time to understand and admit what corporate media are and how they operate. These outlets are not interested in reporting the news of what actually happened, or in shedding light on real events, and certainly not in exposing the truth and informing the public.” Corporate media work to advance their own corporate interests. And at this point, that’s all we should expect from them.
