[View in browser](=.S0-31AeSqbiqdL8nTpe7mjz2SADTZWkz12w81HGw5_s) Dear Reader, For the second time in recent months, Mitch McConnell [froze](=.y415YAgWYT3lH374hXqRd3NREr-6rT88WGANX1dpr68) in the middle of a press conference, staring off in silence before an aide intervened and escorted the minority leader off the stage. It was a truly sad spectacle and anyone who saw the video would have genuine concern for McConnell and his health. The episode was widely covered by the establishment media — and, for good reason, considering his position and power. What’s even more concerning is that this example of [cognitive decline isn’t anything new for America’s most influential leaders.](=.6orugWswupptDdC_QX1JlRJi-Tjj974x5nWLl7a7hPg) As Senior Editor David Harsanyi stated, “It would be nice, and ethical, if the same level of scrutiny was applied to our cognitively compromised president, who regularly wanders off to shake hands with invisible leprechauns, struggles to navigate stairs, and forgets the name of his cabinet members.” There are clear cases where age should be disqualifying. Someone who immediately comes to mind is California Senator Dianne Feinstein who is now 90 years old. Feinstein has reportedly relinquished power of attorney to her daughter after some health concerns. If a person can’t be trusted to legally handle their own life decisions, how can they be entrusted with the power to make decisions over your life? Fortunately, a solution to this issue already exists—vote them out. In the case of Mitch McConnell, Republicans desperately need a leader who can offer strong pushback against the tyrannical regime we face. Our country is in trouble, and we need leaders who can confidently withstand the political fights ahead.
