[View in browser](=.FxeqYPwploaRv-Cw2sNTrrnU0FK0ODx18YQ2FPHdFB0) Dear Reader, The left thought the mugshot of Trump would be the worst thing they could do to him. It was the best shot fired at him yet. However, instead of diminishing Trump's credibility as a Presidential candidate in the eyes of his supporters, he is seen as a victim of an illegitimate political regime. The left fired off the biggest shot in their arsenal, but Trump just stood there, unfazed and looking as defiant as ever. Meanwhile, aspiring presidential candidates gathered Wednesday night for the 2024 GOP Primary debate. The debate had its striking moments, but the majority seemed to be filled with cringe pre-practiced political lines and trying to dunk on a leading candidate who wasn’t even participating in the debate. While Pence, Haley, and others took every chance to showcase their support for unlimited funding for the war in Ukraine (which [goes against the will of most Republican voters](=.jYxog24bBtZzQWWprvBGt6nIW1dWycW3iRYGokj0zDk)), entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and Governor Ron Desantis made the refreshing case to prioritize the defense of America’s own southern border. There were brief debates over the corruption and weaponization of America’s Department of Justice and the future of pro-life legislation. However, [the debate failed to acknowledge](=.tTC9P3JgK0tJMw_BD-IN5P_zWYQP-FNWygE1a6O9oBA) Democrat’s continued push for a pro-trans ideology, election interference, lack of religious liberty, and many other issues that are top-of-mind for voters across our nation. [Concerned Americans looking for pledges](=.chma1Ldi36J-dddw2V3RpxDlcWk4QyZbsKva_SCt-nw) that Republicans will do everything in their power to stop the left’s destruction of the country did not find them at the debate, and that’s a shame. The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd said it best, “Americans don’t want to hedge their 2024 bets on performative politicians. They want to elect problem-solvers who will turn their anxieties into action.” The first GOP primary did nothing to soothe voters’ fears about the rapid decline of the nation. Simply put, we didn’t get the straight answers we were looking for, and if history is consistent, we likely won’t get any straight answers from candidates on the campaign trail either.
