[View in browser](=.xvu8zP9dg-KrVw6tUjHApTfda2_DU_9Q5uDOVFIisjo) Thanks to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Fox News host Tucker Carlson now has access to more than 40,000 hours of unreleased surveillance video from the Jan. 6 protest. This news created quite a bit of consternation and [anger in the media](=.s0joKWhm3NGf4tOs4NtsYaDOKTfMj05Le-PN2OtcDe8). But why are these propaganda networks so afraid of transparency? Let’s face it, corporate media have had a bad start to 2023. Their lies and malfeasance have been exposed daily, and more Americans realize these corporate entities are not to be trusted. They’re terrified of being exposed again. In fact, even Democrat Senators have called for [barring Tucker Carlson](=.wqrNYeOcU7pCqINOML4qcDI-c26fDygQ9j16D5WbcrY), a legitimate journalist, from airing more unedited footage from Jan. 6 “because our democracy depends on it.” Why would they want to censor unedited footage from Jan. 6? It’s an obvious answer. Clearly Democrats’ narrative for what happened that day was not only overblown, but in some cases, it was utterly false. We wouldn’t even need Tucker Carlson to release more footage if the Jan 6. congressional committee hadn’t [produced such a partisan show trial](=.rlZddqy2E2Nl-Jzju4uzbJnri3bzBassQK7F_brIBLQ). They literally hired an Emmy-nominated TV producer to help stage the theatrics for the committee’s series of televised hearings, yet they fume when Americans are informed of the other side of the story. We are in a complete information war, and there are many powerful people on the left — politicians and agencies — that are trying to suppress free debate. Seeing more footage gives Americans a far better sense of what happened that day, no media outlet should be opposed to that.
