1. CNNâs War On Trump Is Going Swimmingly
By Ben Domenech
Back in February, I was riding on the New York to DC shuttle and CNNâs own Jeff Zucker was seated in the row behind me with a woman I took to be a colleague or personal assistant. She was yelling loudly into her phone, loudly enough that the other passengers took note of it, at one point escalating her voice to say: âIf they want war with CNN, they got it.â When we landed, I noted the likely inspiration for the call: the administration had offered Mike Pence to every network except for CNN.

2. Scott Adams Explains His Pivot To Climate Change: âThe Argument Is Absurd On Both Sidesâ
By Julie Kelly
The man who has satirized corporate culture and groupthink for nearly 30 years is agitating the groupthink on both sides of the climate change debate.
---------------------------------------------------------------
When Scott Adams, the creator of âDilbert,â endorsed Donald Trump for president, the âClinton bullies,â as he calls them, came after him with full force: âThey started calling newspapers, demanding they drop âDilbert,ââ Adams told me from his Berkeley-area home last week. âMy speaking engagements dried up to zero. My income dropped by about one-third.â
He initially endorsed Clinton to protect âhis own personal safety, because I live in California. It isnât safe to be a Trump supporter where I live,â he wrote in his blog last September when he officially switched his endorsement to Trump over concerns about Clintonâs health and estate tax plan.

3. I Bake New Neighbors Bread To Welcome Them, And They Never Say Hello to Me Again
By Mrs. S. F. Kistler
I am glad I am this old so I donât have to live in this cold, uncaring world for 50 more years. Many Americans appear to have become shallow, immoral, intolerant, and hateful.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Let me tell you about my Southern California neighborhood. I have lived in this one for 22 years. I donât know anyone, but itâs not for lack of trying. Each time a new neighbor moves in I bake a loaf of bread and take it to them. They thank me at the door and then close it. That is the last I see of them other than when they go to their cars.
One neighbor was pregnant and her husband was employed, so I gave her my phone number just in case she needed anything. She thanked me and didnât give me her number. We spoke over the fence occasionally, but not in any way that would turn us into buddies or even casual friends. They moved.

4. James Comeyâs Latest Statement Is An Indictment Of Comey, Not Trump
By Sean Davis
In his prepared statement, James Comey admits that President Trump was not being investigated, that Comey told the president and Congress as much, and that Comey deliberately refused to inform the public of those facts.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Ahead of former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director James Comeyâs testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, the committee released the seven-page prepared statement Comey provided on Wednesday. While itâs clear that Comey and his allies believe the statement is proof that President Donald Trump acted inappropriately, and perhaps even illegally, the statement itself is a much bigger indictment of Comeyâs own behavior over the last six months. Not only does Comeyâs statement corroborate Trumpâs claim that the former FBI director told him three times that the president was not being investigated by the FBI, it also reveals the Beltway game Comey was playing with the investigation.

5. After London Bridge, The World Is Sick Of Politicians Downplaying Terrorism
By Megan G. Oprea
Our political leaders are basically telling us that this kind of terrorism, random and deadly, is the price we have to pay for their policies of multiculturalism and political correctness.
---------------------------------------------------------------
As if on cue, in the wake of Saturdayâs terrorist attack in London political leaders are trotting out the usual treacly lines that have become so rote. But the words they pretend will provide comfort to anyone but the most naïve are borderline worthless. Worse, theyâre an insult to the families who have had to experience the shocking pain of the sudden loss of a family member or friend at the hands of a terrorist.
Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, called Saturdayâs attack âdeliberate and cowardly,â and asked âall Londoners to remain calm and vigilant today and in the days ahead.â Most notably, he said: âYou will see an increased police presence today, including armed officers and uniformed officers. There is no reason to be alarmed by this. We are the safest global city in the world.â
