[Full article] RECAPPING THE FIRST DEBATE I shared my initial thoughts on last night’s debate late last night – if you missed them, you can read it here. The vast majority of commentators seem to share the opinion that Hillary Clinton did much better than she actually did, in my opinion. The worst moments of this debate for Donald Trump were all of his own making. Trump was fairly good on offense, and fairly poor on defense. Whenever the subjects were ones that allowed his criticism of Clinton, he did decently well – though he missed a huge opportunity on the cybersecurity issue to slam Clinton’s failings, instead talking about his ten year old kid and 400 pound hackers. His performance in the first 20 minutes or so was excellent, setting aside the fact that he’s dead wrong about the policy in question. After that, he didn’t throw up on his shoes, he just missed opportunities to really take the issue to her. Read more of The Transom by signing up for a [free trial] today.
