Hi Friend, OK. We're officially in the 4th quarter. And this can bring up a few mental/emotional issues that can sabotage your trading. Do your best to avoid them. 1. "Gearing up" for a great 4th quarter can lead to over-zealousness resulting in over-trading and jumping into trades before confirmation. SOLUTION: Identify your best (A+) entrance configurations and commit to only taking those trades. Additionally, limit the number of trades that you are permitting yourself to take in one trading day. 2. Putting too much emphasis on the 4th quarter results causing an increase in cortisol levels (stress levels). SOLUTION: Don't frame the 4th quarter as your final quarter to reach your goals. Frame it as a quarter to show off how disciplined you can be to follow your proven trading plan. The profit will take care of itself. 3. The notion of getting off to a fast, profitable start to the quarter can cause you to rush into trades. SOLUTION: The opposite is a much better approach. See this quarter as a building quarter. Start slow and let your profits build. And if you happen to get off to a slow start, you won't be digging yourself a whole you can't get out of. I hope these tips are helpful and I wish you a profitable finish to 2022! My best, Norman Hallett, [The Disciplined Trader](, the industry leader for trading psychology. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
