The Daily Grind -[View as a web page](    [The DAILY GRIND NEWS](  Grind for August 20, 2017  First sip  "If women ran the world we wouldn't have wars, just intense negotiations every 28 days." - Robin Williams    Deja Brew The Headline Another Fox News host off the network after allegations of sexual misconduct The Grind Fox News host Eric Bolling was suspended on August 5th after more than 12 sources confirmed he had sent female colleagues unsolicited "dick pics." The incident occurred several years ago, before the more recent Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly scandals. [The Two Week Diet]( Sponsored Ad As announced by Fox News, Bolling is suspended "pending the results of an investigation." He is joined in limbo by Fox Business Network host Charles Payne, who was suspended last month after harassment allegations were filed against him. These repeated cases have raised awkward questions about Fox's corporate environment and about whether upper management has a habit of tolerating improper behavior. What's Next? Bolling's attorney calls the claims "uncorroborated," "untrue," and "terribly unfair," adding that "we intend to fully cooperate with the investigation." Bolling is a rising star and one of the staunchest Trump supporters on the network. He signed a long-term contract just two months ago, and many people expect Fox will do whatever it can to get him back. Others think he will go the way of Roger Ailes, who quit Fox last July amid a series of sexual harassment claims; and Bill O'Reilly, who went on vacation and never returned amid a similar controversy. In the meantime, Bolling seems to be staying positive. "Overwhelmed by all the support I have received," he tweeted on August 7th. "Thank you. I look forward to clearing my name ASAP." Good Advice The Headline Advice from women who almost died after childbirth The Problem Childbirth is far less dangerous for Mom than it used to be, but there is still a risk of developing fatal complications after giving birth. These complications include hemorrhage, infection, placenta accreta, and preeclampsia (a type of high blood pressure). According to an NPR article published earlier this year, the United States has the worst rate of maternal deaths in the developed world. This is in part due to a difficulty in finding care after birth and a lack of education about postpartum risks. Below, five survivors share their advice for expecting mothers. The Advice 1. Miranda, survived amniotic fluid embolism in 2008: If you will be delivering your baby at a birthing center, make sure you know where the closest ICU is. And ask your doctors if there will be an OB-GYN on site the entire time you're in labor. 2. Joy, 39, survived a blood infection in 2013: Explore your options and search for a doctor who is willing to listen. "Because of my insurance and personal circumstances at the time, I felt I had no option but to take whoever my providers [assigned] me, despite several red flags even before my delivery." 3. Dani, 37, survived HELLP syndrome in 2011: Women should know that they have the right to ask for more time with their doctors. "The OB-GYNs are so busy, and sometimes appointments are quite quick and rushed. Make the doctors slow down and take the time with you." 4. Valerie, 30, survived hemorrhage in 2016: "If you have a hemorrhage, don't clean up after yourself. Make sure the doctor is fully aware of how much blood you are losing. I had a very nice nurse who was helping to keep me clean...If the doctor had seen the pools of blood himself, rather than just being told about them, he might not have been so quick to dismiss me." 5. Melissa, 36, survived preeclampsia in 2013: Know how blood pressure should be taken and know what the numbers mean. "I had a pharmacist take my blood pressure at a pharmacy and let me walk out the door with a blood pressure of 210/102. She acted like it was no big deal, and so I believed her."  Good to the last drip  Did you know...
