Plus, Adults Only? Tents? A New Four Seasons Upends Expectations [Manage newsletters]( [View in browser]( [Image] [Image] The entire world in your inbox.   Hello! I’m back in beloved Todos Santos, which we featured in our [Where to Go list]( a year ago. Anecdotally, I had seen a steady creep on Instagram of tourists of late so was nervous I’d find it overrun. Instead, the peacefulness and relative emptiness of this town and its environs remain intact. One place you’re unlikely to find much peace or emptiness is at Versailles. Long lines are de rigueur, as they say, and a visit is often anything but chic. But our lead story this week from [Erin Zaleski shares a very different way to see its famed grounds](–on horseback. In doing so you’ll be following in the steps of French royalty, most notably Marie Antoinette, who Zaleski dishes, was asked to stop riding for fear it would prevent her from getting pregnant! This week we also have pieces from two of our signature series–[Room Key]( and the [Eat Sheet](. For the former, my colleague Kevinisha Walker ventured down to Mexico to check out a Four Seasons property that’s a bit different from the group’s usual fare. For starters, [the property in Punta Mita, Mexico](, is made up of tents! For the Eat Sheet, our destination dining guide, local writer Sharanya Deepak whipped up a very [handy dive into the dining scene of iconic Delhi](. I’m very much dying to get back to India, so when I am in Delhi I’ll definitely be putting it to good use. Enjoy! — [William O’Connor](, Travel Editor   [Image] [You Don’t Have to See Versailles Like the Peasants]( [There are many places to go horseback riding in France, but none marry centuries of thrilling history with an ongoing love of equestrianism like the onetime royal residence.]( [Adults Only? Tents? A New Four Seasons Upends Expectations]( [The resort opened earlier this month and features just 15 luxury tents surrounded by 48 acres of forest.]( [Our Tips on Where to Eat in Delhi, India]( [While eating in Delhi can take a lifetime, you’ll always be entertained.]( [In Japan, Funky Fermented Ice Cream Flavors Are All the Rage]( [Forward-thinking confectioners are looking back at the country’s age-old fermentation practices to create some of the most interesting modern flavors.](   “In the long view of human history, cousin-unions do not dominate the landscape of our cultural consciousness. Except for royals, who had an avoidably small dating pool, intra-family marriages are seen as outliers. Or so we might think. A new study of the ordinary inhabitants of the ancient Aegean shows something quite different.” –historian Candida Moss [writes about a new study that shows we can’t fully blame the Ptolemaic practice of intra-family marriages on the Ancient Egyptians](!   This Instagram-Famous Carry-on Is the Perfect Blend of Form and Function Aside from its obvious beauty— the brand aptly describes it as “heritage trunk style with modern features”— with a sleek, glossy finish, July’s luxe trunk suitcase offers far more than just good looks. The case has a built-in ejectable battery compartment with FastCharge USB-C, which came in handy many times during my vacation. Of course, it’s also designed with a slew of other elevated design features, including a built section for dirty laundry that actually keeps your clean and soiled close separate from one another, extra secure latch locks that stay put, and SilentMove™ wheels which, as the name suggests, are ultra-quiet—even when you’re sprinting to make a flight—trust me! — Scouted by [Mia Maguire]( [BUY AT JULY ](   [Travel to the World’s Most Beautiful Synagogues]( When we think today of iconic religious architecture, the first images that spring to mind are often churches, mosques, and Buddhist monasteries. But some of the most spectacular houses of worship in the world are those of the Jewish faith—synagogues. That’s why we want to highlight [Rizzoli’s Synagogues: Marvels of Judaism]( by Leyla Uluhanli for [Just Booked](, our series on exciting travel coffee table books. From over-the-top ancient wonders to sleek modern spaces, [this book]( showcases the best in synagogue design. Don’t miss our other selections for our series on gorgeous travel-related coffee table books, [Just Booked](.
