UN Ambassador Nikki Haley resigns]( Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, informed President Trump of her plans to resign at the end of the year. Trump has said that Haley informed him six months ago that she would need a break at the end of 2018 and has accepted her resignation. Haley cited the toll that six years as governor of South Carolina and two years as U.S. ambassador has taken as part of her reasoning.
