A Muslim dorm adviser and third generation Palestinian student at Stanford University published an emotionally charged Facebook status in response to a new constitutional law in Israel. In his post, Hamzeh Daoud said he would "physically fight zionists on campus next year" who proclaim that Israel is a democracy. After outrage ensued for the incitement of violence, Daoud backtracked his statement and said he meant "fighting" intellectually and not physically but the damage was already done. The district office of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) was evacuated due to the presence of a suspicious package with a label which carried a threatening message. Here's what it said The package had a label that read, "Anne Thrax," which was taken to refer to anthrax, the lethal substance often sent via the mail in bio-terrorist attacks. The building containing Waters' office was partially evacuated while police and a hazardous materials team investigated the package. The Los Angeles Fire Department determined that there was no threat from the package. "One person came in contact with the package and did not have any medical complaints," said L.A. Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart in a statement. According to USA Today, the investigation was referred to the FBI by the Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes Division.
