URGENT: Hurricane Beryl Update [SUPPORT BERYL RELIEF NOW]( {NAME}, Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Monday as a Category 1 storm near Matagorda, Texas, with destructive winds and heavy rain that inundated communities still recovering from this spring’s flooding. Beryl’s path is impacting millions across southeast Texas and parts of Louisiana; communities all over the regions are struggling. Specifically in Texas, over 1.3 million people remain without power and air conditioning, while dangerous, high temperatures smother the area. It could be weeks before electricity is fully restored. American Red Cross disaster relief teams have been working around the clock with partners and local officials to provide emergency assistance to those in need. Disaster workers are focused on supporting the growing need for emergency shelter as individuals seek relief from the extreme heat and massive power outages after Hurricane Beryl. Additionally, we are providing mobile feeding and distributing relief items. In the wake of such a devastating, widespread disaster, the families and individuals impacted urgently need your support.
