The impacts of the conflict have taken a toll, particularly on the most vulnerable — children, people with disabilities and the elderly. The global Red Cross and Red Crescent network has provided crucial assistance, offering not only cash for shelter, food and emergency supplies, but also implementing one of the largest cash assistance programs in the history of the network. This extensive support has been made possible in part by the generosity of the American people.
