Will you split a donation between his campaign and CommonGood today so he can defeat Trump-backed extremist Dan Cox?]( {NAME}, It’s now official. I am proud to report – with humility and pride – that I am the Democratic nominee to be Maryland’s next Governor. [If you can help us kick off this general election campaign by splitting a contribution between my campaign and CommonGood, chip in here, and together, we’re going to get this done.]( When you consider my opponent, the Republican nominee Dan Cox, the stakes have quite literally never been higher. Marylanders will face a very clear choice this November. A choice between unity and division. A choice between a future built on hope and optimism vs. the cynical politics of conspiracy theories and fear. A choice between the values we embrace as Marylanders and Donald Trump’s divisive and dangerous MAGA movement. When I led soldiers in combat in Afghanistan as a Captain in the U.S. Army, we lived by a principle: leave no one behind. This principle is not a slogan. It’s a value that drives this campaign. It’s a value that will guide me as Governor of Maryland. Right now, too many Marylanders are being left behind. Unable to fill the gas tank or keep up with monthly bills. Feeling unsafe in their own communities, or with their children trapped in schools that are not preparing their children for the jobs of today or tomorrow. That all must change. We get there with new ideas, and a new spirit of togetherness – working across party lines and regional lines, through civility and collaboration. That’s an approach my opponent, Dan Cox, doesn’t believe in. Cox has pledged his unwavering allegiance to Donald Trump. Cox personally organized buses of insurrectionists to the U.S. Capitol on January 6. He spread Trump’s lies about the 2020 election and fought to have it overturned. He traffics in conspiracy theories. He tried to impeach Governor Hogan. Cox represents the most extreme fringe of American politics. Simply put, Dan Cox is so far outside the mainstream that I believe he’d be dangerous in the Governor's office. And it’s not just about Donald Trump – abortion access is on the ballot. Public school funding is on the ballot. A $15 minimum wage is on the ballot. The future of our environment is on the ballot. I believe Maryland is the best state in America to live and raise a family, but to fulfill our potential, we must make sure all Marylanders have that opportunity at success. So that’s what’s at stake this November. We’ve got work to do, and aren’t taking our opponent lightly for even a minute. [We’ve got more voters to talk to about our message, and our campaign is going to have to grow. If you can help us kick off this general election campaign with a contribution, chip in here, and together, we’re going to get this done.]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $35]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE $250]( [Donate ANY]( From the bottom of my heart, on behalf of my family and my amazing running mate, Delegate Aruna Miller, I thank you for the opportunity to serve.
