Your skin tone/coloring: Eye product that you always smile using? Lip product that you always smile

[Survey Says… April 19th, 2017]( Your skin tone/coloring: Eye product that you always smile using? Lip product that you always smile using? Skin product that you always smile using? [Hourglass Nude Bronze Light & Diffused Bronze Light Ambient Lighting Bronzers]( Hourglass Nude Bronze Light Ambient Lighting Bronzer ($50.00 for 0.39 oz.) is a soft, medium brown with warm, yellowish undertones and a matte finish. The brand said this shade was mixed with "Nude Light," which doesn't actually exist in the Ambient Lighting Powder range, but I couldn't detect any shimmer or sparkle--everything swirled together for a natural, matte finish (matte without being flat). The consistency was smooth, finely-milled, and silky to the touch without being powdery or dusty in the pan. It had semi-opaque color payoff, which was buildable to full coverage in two layers, though it was soft enough [Continue Reading…]( [How do you apply your bronzer?]( Even though a lot of bronzer blushes are huge, I just don't find myself gravitating toward them--they just feel SO big on my face and I end up using fan brushes or denser, larger blush brushes. I don't use bronzer all that much and tend to use it as a subtle contour when I have a bolder highlighter or subtle blush color on my cheeks. I occasionally will use it along my hairline to add warmth. I like to pick up a light amount of product and gently sweep across the areas I'm applying it to. [MAC Morange, Lychee Luxe, Rambunctious, Impassioned Lipglasses]( MAC Morange Lipglass ($17.00 for 0.10 fl. oz.) is a bright, medium orange with warm, reddish undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied without streaking, but there was a creaminess to the finish where some color spread into my lip lines. The finish was incredibly glossy, though, and the gloss stayed on well for five and a half hours while being hydrating. The Lipglass formula is supposed to be "pigmented, very shiny and can impart subtle or dramatic color" that can be worn "on its own, over lip pencil or lipstick" and will "condition lips." [Continue Reading…]( [Hourglass Brilliant Nude & Incandescent Electra Ambient Strobe Lighting Blushes]( Hourglass Brilliant Nude Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush ($38.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a soft peach with warm undertones and a luminous sheen--glowing but not overtly shimmery. The standalone version ended up looking a few shades lighter than the one I have in a palette, due to the difference in marbling, so it may be lighter or darker depending on the particular pan. It just barely shows up on my skin tone--more like a gently warming highlighter--but would be an easy, everyday kind of color on fairer complexions. The texture was soft, finely-milled, and very blendable, though just a smidgen dusty [Continue Reading…]( [Kat Von D Coven & Roxy Everlasting Lip Liners]( Kat Von D Coven Everlasting Lip Liner ($18.00 for 0.009 oz.) is a brighter, medium lavender with subtle, cooler undertones and a matte finish. It had good pigmentation in a single stroke, but the fine tip and the thinner texture made it hard to apply evenly and opaquely across my lips as a standalone shade. It would work fine for lining the edges, but I had a lot of trouble getting it to adhere and apply to the center of my lips. The texture was lightly creamy but still pulled on my lips a bit as I used it.
