[What are three cheek or face products you used to use frequently years ago but rarely use now?]( Guerlain Parure Gold (discontinued), MAC Volcanic Ash (mask, just not my go-to any more), Urban Decay Naked Loose Powder (back to Laura Mercier these days). [MAC Pale Rose, Devotional, Digging for Gold Lipsticks]( MAC Pale Rose Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark rosy copper with warm, brownish undertones and a pearly sheen. It had medium, buildable coverage, up to semi-opaque coverage, that applied evenly on the lips. The consistency had moderate slip, and it felt more like a hybrid between Lustre and Metallic with respect to the finish, as it had more slip than some of the other Metallic shades. It was comfortable to wear, lasted for four hours, and was lightly hydrating. The Metallic Lips collection features a new (and limited edition!) finish, Metallic, which is supposed to be [Continue Reading…]( [Stellar Beauty Eclipse Cosmic Blush]( Stellar Eclipse Beauty Cosmic Blush ($25.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a muted, coppery brown with warm undertones and fine shimmer. The shimmer translated into a more luminous sheen rather than obvious shimmer particles once blended on the skin. It seemed as if the powder "melted" on the skin as it did not appear as dusty on my cheeks as it did swatched initially. The formula is supposed to have a "translucent wash of pigment" that has a "subtle glow" and "long-wear" that "builds easily to a strong, lustrous finish." There are only three shades in the range presently, and the [Continue Reading…]( [Estee Lauder Tiger Eye, Tender Trap, Hot Kiss Hi-Lustre Light Sculpting Lipsticks]( Estee Lauder Tiger Eye On Hi-Lustre Light Sculpting Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is medium-dark copper with strong, warm orange undertones and a frosted shimmer-sheen finish. It had medium to semi-opaque, buildable color payoff that went on fairly evenly. The consistency was smooth, lightly emollient, and comfortable to apply, though I could feel the texture of the shimmer slightly after a couple hours of wear (never felt rough or scratchy, just that yes, there was shimmer on my lips). It wore well for four and a half hours and was moisturizing. The formula is supposed to have medium coverage with [Continue Reading…]( [Best Pink Highlighters (Powder)]( Here's a companion to our list of best gold highlighters -- the best of pink-hued, powder highlighters that I've reviewed and that are permanent! What are your favorite pink highlighters? [Makeup Geek Quickstep, Waltz, Flamenco Showstopper Crème Stains]( Makeup Geek Quickstep Showstopper Creme Stain ($12.00 for 0.19 fl. oz.) is a muted, light-medium rosy beige with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium color coverage, which was slightly buildable to semi-opaque coverage, but I found that layering tended to amplify how patchy/uneven it looked. It did take three pulls of product to get enough product to yield a single layer as the packaging seemed to wipe away a lot of product from the applicator. It gathered in my lip lines and looked more pronounced as I smiled. It applied unevenly but only had a couple of [Continue Reading…]( [Community Faves | March 19th through March 25th]( Here’s a look at our community's favorites from the past week! :) Any new favorites that you discovered this week? [Tarte Exposed & Sparkler Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighters]( Tarte Exposed Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter ($29.00 for 0.56 oz.) is a light-medium gold with warm, orange undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-sheer, buildable color payoff that was mostly opaque after three layers. It's a liquid highlighter in a squeeze-tube format that's supposed to be buildable "from sheer to intense" with a more "hybrid gel-cream" texture that can be applied on its own or mixed in with base products. It had a creamier consistency--much denser and more gel-like compared to many highlighters--that stretches out well on the skin. It took a little longer to dry down, but [Continue Reading…]( [NORDSTROM - Shop Beauty Hoilday Gifts]( Best of Temptalia - [Top 10 Products of 2015]( - [Editor's Choice Awards]( - [Readers' Choice Awards]( - [Recommended Products]( 4400 N.
