The last two days have shown that Republicans aren't fit to lead and that our democracy isn't safe i

[Lieu for Congress] {NAME}, It's no secret that the Republican party is in chaos. After 6 votes and 3 days, Republicans have still failed to elect a speaker — and there's no clear path forward. This implosion across the aisle is important for several reasons. First, without a speaker, nothing can move forward. We can't swear in representatives. We can’t review classified documents, hold Committee hearings, or conduct oversight. We can't do anything. Second, it's an ominous sign about the next two years. If Republicans can't even elect a leader, what else might they fail to accomplish? Third, it's a sign that MAGA Republicans are willing to sabotage their own party to get their way. What else may be at risk? But despite all that, this could be so much worse. During a Presidential election year, the House must certify the results, which, you guessed it, we can't do without a Speaker. [So we need to start organizing now to regain control of the House in 2024. Will you do your part?]( [DONATE]( The last two days have shown that Republicans aren't fit to lead and that our democracy isn't safe in their hands. Democrats came into the session with our leadership settled, and we're ready to work. [Just like we will in 2024 when we have the majority.]( Best, Ted    --------------------------------------------------------------- www.tedlieu.com Ted Lieu for Congress · United States This email was sent to {EMAIL}.
