Its co-founder Adrian Gunadi was terminated from his role as CEO early this year, facing allegations of financial misconduct. Indonesia’s financial regulator is also conducting an in-depth probe of the firm. In addition, the startup is facing other issues. It recently said that setbacks in loan repayments on its platform are leading to delays in the return of funds to creditors. Its US$231 million series D funding round has also been questioned since Investree has been revealed to have secured a US$7 million “rescue package.” However, there’s another question mark in this situation - JTA, the lead investor in Investree’s series D fundraising.
