- Zipmexâs US$100m buyout in jeopardy
- Other newsy highlights such as Babel Finance creditors weighing an unusual rescue plan --------------------------------------------------------------- Hello {NAME} A couple of months ago, I was watching a stand-up comedy special by Ronny Chieng (who, if you didnât know, was born in Malaysia and went to school in Singapore). Thereâs a segment that I love where he talks about [how Asian parents always want their kids to be doctors](. Part of me kind of gets it because thereâs always this unbearable pressure to do well in school. Iâd also offer a slightly different perspective to what he said - beyond just âmaking moneyâ as the reason to get your kids to be doctors, itâs simply a reflection that they were âthe bestâ when it came to studying and scoring well for exams. After all, getting into medicine in Singapore requires straight As in every single subject. Voila! Proof that your kid is the most hardworking and studious student that ever ⦠student-ed. Well, what if you had even greater ambitions and wanted to go one step further? What if instead of becoming a doctor and helping a limited number of people each day, you created a platform that could help thousands or even millions of people at once? Thatâs where telehealth platforms like Doctor Anywhere are making a splash - and its business is looking good. -- Jonathan
