Just over a year ago, I was the editor for a talk show series about Singaporeâs rock climbing scene called Pinch of Salt. (Although weâve put the show on hiatus for the time being, hereâs a [shameless plug]( if youâre interested to know more about the sport). Thatâs why Iâve always found it amazing how apps like TikTok can make it look so effortless. Some creators on the platform have put out truly creative videos, seemingly in no time at all. And now that video-editing apps like CapCut have come into the picture, it could take these creatorsâ editing capabilities to the next level. Todayâs story takes a look at how the app is performing and what it could mean for its developer, ByteDance. -- Jonathan PS: Check out Tech in Asiaâs updated [hiring tracker](.
