Naturally, the next thing I did was search it on Shazam, and I found out that the song was [Keeping Tabs by Niki](. I searched the song on YouTube and noticed that there was another song by Niki in the recommended videos column called High School in Jakarta. Upon further exploration, I realized that she was originally from Indonesia and had made it big in the music industry in the US, even being featured on the soundtrack for Marvel’s Shang Chi and the Ten Rings. I quickly went down the rabbit hole of listening to her other songs and I must say, I’m now a fan. There’s something in the simplicity of her lyrics that make them instantly relatable, while having a wistful, almost nostalgic aspect to it. Her songs brought me back to simpler times. It’s always nice to see people from Southeast Asia make a name for themselves, and I would say that same feeling applies to startups in the region that have pulled off some huge exits for themselves too. -- Jonathan P.S: Guess who’s back?
