More: Didi looks to delist, and Oyo eyes an IPO [Read from your browser]( Daily Newsletter Hello {NAME} When I was pursuing my communications diploma, smartphone game Flappy Bird - created by Vietnamese developer Nguyen Ha Dong - was all the rage. My classmates and I would play the game during breaks between lectures, aggressively trying to fly the titular bird and dodge the green pipes to register the highest score. Flappy Bird has been long gone, but Vietnam’s gaming scene has produced other sensations. Recently, blockchain-based game Axie Infinity has taken off in Southeast Asia, and the studio behind it, Sky Mavis, has achieved unicorn status. This has sparked a massive GameFi wave in Vietnam, which is poised to be an early mover in the sector. Since the cryptocurrency world has had some shake-ups recently, it’s too early to say if GameFi will propel Vietnam’s tech scene to new heights. Today we look at: - What’s [going on]( in Vietnam’s tech scene - A blockchain-focused climate tech startup - Other newsy highlights such as Didi’s potential delisting and Oyo’s IPO plans -- Stefanie --------------------------------------------------------------- THE BIG STORY [The pitfalls of Vietnam’s GameFi sensation]( Vietnam is a hotbed for GameFi. While some countries have relaxed rules and allowed more workers to return to offices, others are opting to take harder lockdown stances as part of a zero Covid-19 strategy. The constantly changing rules at different stages of the pandemic have had a marked effect on employees as they repeatedly have to adapt to new conditions. These turbulent times make instilling resilience in a hybrid workforce more critical, and that’s where Ingram Micro’s Technology Experience Center comes in. The Technology Experience Center was built to give Ingram Micro’s channel partners and their clients an avenue to experience thematic showcases and integrated solution demos across various tech sectors. At the center’s Secure Hybrid Workforce showcase, visitors will be treated to a briefing and demonstration covering threat management, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, data protection, and security monitoring. This will help firms learn more about the integrated capabilities they need to build a proactive and cybersecure hybrid workforce that’s resilient to the pandemic.
