[Netflix Q3 earnings exceed estimates, despite disappointing US subscriber growth](
Netflixâs Q3 financial report gave the companyâs stock a boost in after-hours trading, with profits significantly exceeding analyst expectations.
However, subscriber growth was a mixed bag â particularly in the United States, where Netflix reported 500,000 paid net additions in the United States, compared to a forecast of 800,000. The company says that’s because a price increase earlier this year is hurting retention.
