[Apply here.]( The South African government has [its eyes set]( the Fourth Industrial revolution as the center of the nation's developments in coming years. As a result, a [white paper on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI)]( roadmap has been approved by Cabinet to replace its 1996 version. The roadmap will direct the country's efforts towards taking advantage of rapid advancements in technology. MTN, Microsoft, Vodacom, and a number of other South African and international industry experts have come together to constitute the nation's [first industry body for IoT](. The IoT Industry Council of South Africa (IOTIC) will help "business and public sector organisations gain insight into the capabilities that IoT technology brings." The [Tech Women Lagos]( AUDACITY exhibition continues this weekend, March 23 and 24. The physical exhibition comprises portraits, audio and visual components of the Tech Women Lagos portrait series which we launched on March 8, 2019. Tech Women Lagos profiles 50 women in Lagos’ technology ecosystem from different backgrounds and at different stages of their tech careers. We are showing the next generation of girls and women that careers in tech are possible and there is space for them in the industry. Last weekend saw women in the series interacting with guests some of which were young women interested in the industry and for whom this exhibition has been curated.
