An offer for our Fine Woodworking readers. Spend 20 seconds on YouTube searching for table saw proje

[View Web Version]( An offer for our Fine Woodworking readers. [Safe, accurate, convenient and repeatable. AutoScale is the ultimate miter sled.]( Spend 20 seconds on YouTube searching for table saw projects and you’ll get hundreds of crosscut sled designs you can build yourself. Another 20 seconds on Google and you’ll have a dozen or so that you can buy. But none of those options have the features you’ll find on Woodpeckers NEW AutoScale Miter Sled. • Leaf-spring miter bar delivers perfect results even in worn or poorly-machined miter slots. • Automatically adjusting fence pivot keeps the length scale correct at any angle setting. • Large, laser-engraved protractor adjusts to 60°; graduated in half-degrees. • Positive stops for 3,4,5,6,8 and 12 sided miters. • Micro-adjustable flip-stop that mitered ends won’t lift out of position. • Extendable fence carries the stop out to 50" • Phenolic table is impervious to changes in temperature or humidity. You can get this amazing sled for either side of your blade and there’s an optional Drop Zone table to catch your offcuts. It’s the most complete and most feature-packed miter sled on the market. [Scale and stop are same distance from blade from 0° to 60°.]( [Sliding pivot point keeps the scale calibrated to the blade throughout the entire range.]( Let’s take a closer look at some of the features, starting with the fence pivot. On all other miter sleds, once you adjust away from 90°, the scale (if it has one) is no longer correct. The end-point moves and you’re no longer calibrated to your saw blade. But the pivot on the AutoScale adjusts automatically as you change the angle, keeping the scale perfectly calibrated throughout the entire adjustment range…18" at 0° is still 18" at 60°. Imagine confidently knowing the laser-engraved scale on the fence is as accurate as any scale in your shop. It’s a real time saver. [Woodpeckers AutoScale Miter Sled]( We use our CNC mills to perfectly locate stops for common miter angles. Just depress the pin while moving the fence into position and you’ll lock in at the perfect angle. No test cuts, no gaps, just perfect miters. [Micro-adjust flip-stop has return spur to prevent mitered ends from lifting the stop.]( To complement the dialed-in accuracy of the protractor, the micro-adjustable flip-stop has a section that nests back into the face of the fence. This prevents sharp mitered ends from lifting the stop out of position. [Cross-cut capacity is 24" on most table saws. Drop Zone catches offcuts.]( While miter cuts are crucial, most woodworkers first consider a miter sled because they need a better way to handle wide cross-cuts. To make sure the AutoScale delivers flawless wide panel cuts we put two T-slot washers on the front end of the runner, not just one. This helps keep the sled aligned when you’re using the full 24" cross-cut capacity. If your saw doesn’t have a T-slot, the washers come off in seconds. [Nylon leaf springs keep pressure even in miter slot, even if slot varies in size.]( The miter bar has a series of 5 leaf springs along the edge that keep it snug in any miter slot, whether it is perfectly sized, poorly machined or old and worn. If the slot is inconsistent, the springs expand or compress to keep the bar aligned and the feed resistance uniform…no tight spots or wiggly areas. [Shelf at end of fence provides extra support for long material.]( We also added a shelf at the end of the fence extension so long boards are fully supported throughout the cut. [StealthStops in Drop Zone make it simple to produce multiple short workpieces.]( The optional Drop Zone Table fits beside your AutoScale to catch your offcuts. The nylon locating bars expand so you can lock the Drop Zone in place on your table saw. If you need multiples of very short pieces, pop up one of the StealthStops just ahead of the blade and you can register against the stop and safely cut pieces just fractions of an inch long. The Drop Zone is symmetrical to work on either side of the blade. [Woodpeckers AutoScale Miter Sled]( You can get either a right or left AutoScale and add the Drop Zone or build your own catch table. Or, get the bundle with both AutoScales and a Drop Zone and save some money over individual prices. If you do a lot of long work, there’s also an optional replacement extension that will take your stop all the way out to 68". [WATCH THE VIDEO!
