[4 tool mods from Chris Gochnour's shop]( Two eLetters featuring Chris Gochnour in the last three weeks? What?!?! While we try and spread the love, some people deserve their fair share of eLetter acclaim. Chris Gochnour is one of them. Chris is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet, and his enthusiasm for woodworking is as real as he is. Many think of Chris as [someone who only uses hand tools]( but his shop is well outfitted with some incredible corded tools. And Chris takes pleasure in using them just as much as his hand tools. But while he loves using traditional tools (corded and otherwise) he's always looking for ways to improve his tools and how he uses them. This [week's feature video demonstrates four modifications]( he made that boost productivity in his shop. Speaking of productivity, if you check your mailbox you'll soon see [Chris's contemporary side table]( gracing the cover of Fine Woodworking #295! Also on FineWoodworking.com this week: FW Assistant Digital Editor KT Kaminski wrote an eye-opening piece about the [environmental concerns of using MDF](. Not to spoil it, but after reading it, I'll keep my dust mask on and leave the guilty conscience behind. [Rollie Johnson came on the podcast and answered eight listener questions](. We tried to stump him with questions covering some of the most esoteric aspects of woodworking, but Rollie's game is strong. Thanks for spending part of your weekend with us.
