After many busy, invigorating, and challenging months, I suspended my Senate campaign. Though I've been genuine and factual throughout, it became clear to me that continuing in this race would involve waging a very divisive and negative campaign, which I was not willing to do. With Donald Trump on the ballot and so much at stake for our nation, I couldn't in good conscience waste resources tearing down a fellow Democrat. Itâs time to unite, not divide. I'm so grateful to each and every one of you â faith leaders, community activists, brothers and sisters in labor, and so many more â who have been at the heart of my campaign. Your voices of support and hope propelled me forward with conviction and purpose regarding the issues most important to New Jerseyâs families. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support you've given me these last many months. I look forward to seeing you again soon and, as always, Iâm here for you when you need me. Onward,
