Yesterday I talked about the P.A.S.E. system and why you need to understand each of the different personality types. I told you how it’s important for you to IDENTIFY and ADAPT to each one. It’s the science of reading people. Once you know how to read people, combined with the P.A.S.E. system... You get something I call “Dimensionalization of Personality Types”. Meaning you’ll be able to figure out someone’s personality type and know how to and how to not approach the sale. If you know that a person has a Social personality, you’ll know you cannot be practical with that person. Because those types are polar opposites. But you’ll understand that Action and Social types go together. So you’ll know you can move the sale faster or need to be more warm and friendly. Before all that, you have to know how to read that person. Not only will it help you in business, it’ll help you in life in general. Here’s a fact - you can’t determine someone’s true intentions or feelings by looking at their face. It’s because people are usually aware of their facial expressions… But they’re not aware of their body language. This is important because you’ll be able to tell if someone is lying to you or trying to take advantage of you. But reading people isn’t only for you to gauge someone else’s body language, it’s also to be aware of your own. Because there’s nonverbal gestures and techniques you can use to build trust with your prospect. Once you can read people and dimensionalize through personality types… You’ll be lethal at any sales meeting. It’s a deadly sales combination.
