So far, thousands of Latet's volunteers have packed and distributed more than 100,000 emergency kits with food and hygiene products, and with the winter coming, we are expanding our assistance to include winter equipment as well. With over 200,000 residents still evacuated from their home, and as temperatures change, it is becoming absolutely necessary and urgent to provide the most basic winter items to evacuees in addition to the families, elderly and Holocaust survivors in need Latet assist on a regular basis. The winter kits contain food, socks, gloves, scarves, warm blankets, hot water bottles, and umbrellas. When needed, we also add heaters.
