[View this email in your browser]( It’s Not Too Late to Make a Dream Come True! Children across Ukraine are enjoying fun-filled days, far from the fear and stress of war. Many camps have already concluded, but there are hundreds of children sitting at home, unable to attend because their families lack the means to send them. Here are a couple of stories that might inspire you to help send more children to camp this summer. We have ten more sessions in the month of August. Eight-year old Marina, whose family was forced to relocate from Kharkov to Kyiv, had a difficult year, separated from her friends, attending school online. “We were overjoyed at the opportunity to send Marina to camp. Our child has come back to life, happily running out the door to get to camp in the morning! As Jewish parents, it is very important to give our daughter live Yiddishkeit while at the same time she is developing leadership and team skills. We are very grateful to the community, the camp team, and sponsors for such an opportunity for our child!!!”—Marina’s mother, Galina Vladimir, 9-years old, spent the entire school year learning online. “The opportunity to participate in summer camp in Chernihiv was a ray of light in an otherwise dark time. During these wartime conditions there are few positive activities for camps; at camp Vladimir is thrilled with the tasty food, fun activities, problem-solving skill development, and psychological counseling.”—Vlad’s mother “Happy children! What could be more important for parents in such a difficult time?” Diana, the mother of 10-year old Aurika, was grateful that her daughter was able to attend camp in Bila Tserkva: “The camp is a great place to socialize and learn about traditions. From the first days, not only did the children fall in love with staff, so did we as parents! There was a sense of professionalism throughout, with games and fun activities along with opportunities for learning activities and making friends; Aurika even baked challah!”—Aurika’s mother, Diana Help us send every child to camp!
