If you’d like to unsubscribe, [click here.]( [A message from Sue Altman”]( My name is Sue Altman. I’m a Democrat running for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th District. I’m a former non-profit executive, and I’ve spent my career fighting corruption on both sides of the aisle. I’m honored to have the endorsement of both EMILYs List and Rep. Tom Malinowski, and I’m ready to get to work fighting for NJ-07! I’m also a former professional basketball player, and I can tell from experience: I’m not just running this campaign — I’m playing to win. I can tell you that our race will be one of the most competitive in the entire country. Winning swing districts like ours is the key to taking back the House for Democrats next year, which means we need to put in the work right now to make sure we’re ready to compete with Republicans and their mega-donors. NJ-07 is the ultimate swing district and a prime pickup opportunity for Democrats. In 2020, Joe Biden won our district by nearly 4 points. In 2022, Tom Kean Jr. — my MAGA-enabling opponent — won by less than 3 points. That comes out to just 9,000 votes. Since getting to Congress, Tom Kean Jr. has supported anti-choice extremists like Jim Jordan and Mike Johnson — the Speaker of the House who likened abortion to an “American Holocaust.” In fact, Tom Kean Jr. has a “nearly identical voting record to Marjorie Taylor Greene” according to local reporting. We already know this race is going to be me vs. Tom Kean Jr. this fall. That’s why it’s so critical that my campaign is focused on the most important issues. Hearing from supporters like you makes me a better candidate and strengthens our campaign as we prepare for a tough fight ahead. [We’ll win this race if we have everyone’s voice guiding our campaign, so will you tell me what’s on your mind by completing our official Team Altman Priorities Survey today?]( [TAKE THE SURVEY]( Like I said, this will be a tough fight, But if there’s one thing I learned from my years playing and coaching basketball, it’s that nothing is more important than my team. Thanks for being on our team from the very beginning.
