This means God is not only beyond all things but is also within all things. The Uncreated Light is totally outside of all of Creation yet also closer than your bones. All things are emanations of that Light, all are made of that Light, and that Light is the truest essence of our Heart of Hearts. The Love of God is sublime beyond comprehension. On one hand this Love is formless, all-transcending, all-encompassing, inconceivable, and supremely awe-inspiring—an Inferno of Grace beyond all reckoning. Yet simultaneously this Love is unspeakably Sweet, Tender, Close, Nurturing, Intimate, and Personal—like a Saintly Mother or Father swaddling you in a warm baby blanket and cuddling you to their breast. How Can Bufo and Ayahuasca Reveal God’s Immanence and Transcendence? The past few weeks [I have been sharing about Bufo]( as we will be working with Bufo and Ayahuasca [at our upcoming Apotheosis retreat in May](. Let me say a few words about Bufo and Ayahuasca in relation to this topic of God’s transcendence and immanence: Bufo Bufo is a master teacher when it comes to revealing God’s transcendent aspect. Although Bufo tends toward the Transcendent, it can also open your Heart to God’s Immanent And Personal aspect. The warm-hearted, loving facilitators at Kumankaya—in combination with the cozy tribe love we cultivate at Apotheosis—are also of great help in bringing Bufo ‘back to Earth’ and giving you a chance to feel palpable Divine Love emanating through everyone and everything. Ayahuasca Ayahuasca is kind of the reverse of Bufo in this respect. With Ayahuasca, there is often a sense of meeting Divinity as an immanent presence within one’s human life, or experiencing Divinity as a Great Loving Mother. At the same time, Ayahuasca also has the potential to occasion utterly transcendent experiences of Divinity. Naturally, no one can say precisely what experience any entheogen will give to you, as the experiences can vary widely depending on your context. I do believe entheogens tend to give us what we need and what we are ready for, yet it is nonetheless essential to approach these teachers with reverence, sit with them only if you feel a true heart-calling, and work with them in a wisely-cultivated context, such as the oasis of [Kumankaya](. In Sum: Non-Psychedelic Paths to God-Recognition Thank you for reading, friend. I truly pray these words provided you some benefit, relief, or insight. If you feel called to be closer to God yet do not feel sincerely called to psychedelics… - I recommend to [believe in and trust Divinity]( even if it’s hard. Choose it. Trust the path. Look for the gift/lesson in every occurrence. The path of Faith, Devotion, and Conviction can rapidly begin to reformat your life on deep levels. - On the other hand, perhaps you are someone who is more called to the path of Direct Seeing and Inquiry. In this case, it’s better to practice dropping all beliefs/concepts/identities and simply sensitively being with direct naked experience. Let direct experience reveal to you how slippery, strange, miraculous, mysterious, and spontaneously self-existence it really is. This is another portal to Divinity which [I discussed in more depth here](. - Consider coming to Apotheosis. You can come to Apotheosis without working with medicine, and it can still be a profound, life-altering, Divinity-reconnecting experience. We incorporate many practices and workshops outside of the medicine ceremonies. Ultimately there are as many paths to Divinity as there are individual beings.
