The goal is to outperform the S&P500 significantly without putting in too much work. The portfolio will always be updated here in case anything unexpected happens. You can always find this post in the top menu and on the homepage in the “Portfolios†section. This portfolio contains 25 companies. Let’s take a look at historical performance of my portfolio vs [$SPY]( 5-year performance (since 1.1.2019) 25: 174.01% vs SPY: 117.06% 10-year Performance (since 1.1.2014) 25: 326.8% vs SPY: 215.48% This is all assuming we are buying the same amount of each stock. The companies are categorized into 13 diverse sectors: - Consumer Staples & Household Products - Industrial Equipment & Machinery - Financial Services & Investment Management - Healthcare Services & Distribution - Chemicals & Specialty Materials - Energy & Materials - Infrastructure & Energy Services - Semiconductor & Chip Manufacturing - Consumer Services - Commercial Services - Consumer Durables - Distribution Services - Industrial Services The Fortress of Solitude isn't just another investment portfolio – it's a carefully curated selection of 25 companies that form the very foundation of our modern world. This isn't about chasing the latest market trends; it's about owning a piece of the businesses that keep our society running, day in and day out. Key Features: - Sector Diversity: From healthcare giants like Johnson & Johnson to consumer staples powerhouses like Coca-Cola, from industrial titans like Caterpillar to financial behemoths like BlackRock – this portfolio spans the essential sectors of our economy. - Proven Track Record: - 10-year performance: 326.8% (compared to S&P 500's 215.48%) - Composed of 25 equally-weighted stocks - Built to Last: These aren't flash-in-the-pan startups or speculative plays. Many of these companies have been around for decades, some for over a century. They've weathered economic storms, technological revolutions, and global crises – and they're still standing strong. - Global Reach: Most of these companies operate on a global scale, reducing dependence on any single market and capitalizing on worldwide growth. - Essential Services: When economic headwinds blow, people might cut their streaming subscriptions or delay buying the latest gadget. But they'll still need medicines, infrastructure, financial services, and the myriad of products these companies provide. That's the core idea behind this portfolio. - No Hype, All Substance: You won't find any AI moonshots, VR pipe dreams, or cryptocurrency gambles here. This portfolio is built on bedrock, not sand. It focuses on companies that are essential to our society – not social media fads or tech unicorns that might vanish next year. - Under the Radar: Despite their crucial role in keeping our world turning, many of these companies fly under the radar. They're not making flashy headlines or inspiring memes – they're too busy actually running the world. - Research-Backed: This isn't a theoretical exercise. Countless hours have gone into analyzing each of these companies, their market positions, and long-term prospects. It's a strategy backed by thorough research and real-world investment. The goal of the Fortress of Solitude 25 isn't to replicate the meteoric rises (and falls) of trendy stocks. Instead, it aims to consistently outperform the S&P 500 over the long haul, providing steady, reliable growth through thick and thin. Remember, while the past performance of this portfolio has been strong, it's not a guarantee of future results. Always do your own research and consider your personal financial situation before making investment decisions. Welcome to the Fortress of Solitude 25 – where investment meets peace of mind.
