Why is this a conversation? [Garrett {NAME}](floridarepublic) Aug 15 floridarepublic   [READ IN APP](   Market Update: We’re heavy in the Green, as we have explained to investors since last Monday’s insanity. Everyone is back in the pool. We avoided the massive vol shock and continued to see cooling across the board from the heat. If you want to know what institutions are doing before you move… there’s one thing to do. [Upgrade to paid]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Fellow Expat: “Raygun” has broken her silence. The [Australian Olympian]( who came in last place in “break” dancing and became a global meme… is mad at everyone for their “online hate.” And I think it’s fair. People need to stop. It’s breakdancing… not, say, managing a sinking economy. Wait… hold on. You don’t know who “Raygun” is? Listen… she has a Ph.D. in cultural studies, emphasizing the intersection between race and breakdancing. The Aussie has a signature “kangaroo” hop when competing. Her battle against people who express “online hate” toward her has become a major story on Vox, AP, and even the Indian Express. The media is all over this story. Now… before you wonder… What? Huh? Or… WTF? Ask yourself this critical question about international media reports about Raygun... Ask… Who benefited when the Federal Reserve printed $6.5 trillion over the last 15 years… Or… ask this… Why are all of the contractors who “rebuilt” Iraq now lining up in Europe to rebuild Ukraine? Those are the most important questions about Raygun’s Olympic breakdancing. And pretty much every story in the world. Raygun’s soap opera is about as important as the question: “Are we eating too much wheat as a people?” She’s a distraction from the real things happening in the world. The media either doesn’t understand what’s going on with this economy and the sheer amount of people extracting what’s left of this nation (they’re stupid), or they do understand but choose to ignore it (malice). Every single story you hear is a distraction from the bigger picture… It’s time to ask the media the important questions since they won’t do it themselves. For example, when you hear that… “[two out of every three law school students]( believe social justice is more important than obtaining a winning result for a client…” Ask them in response: “[Why did NGOs and food companies]( divide up all of the farmland in Ukraine before the war even ended?” When someone asks, “Did you hear that Ben Affleck might be dating Jennifer Aniston?” Say, “I did know…” and reply: “So why is the Treasury Department borrowing 7% of GDP to print 3% in annual economic growth?” Be that guy. These are the real questions we have to ask (or reply) about our culture. Otherwise, we end up not only morally bankrupt… But bankrupt in general. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
