But here’s the wild part: Nvidia did it in just 66 trading days after hitting $2 trillion. Apple took 719 days, and Microsoft took 650 days to do the same. What’s fueling this rocket ship? It’s Wall Street’s favorite trick. They’re running a dispersion trade, selling volatility in the S&P 500 and buying calls in Nvidia. This clever move pushes Nvidia shares higher while keeping the S&P 500 volatility in check. It’s like they’ve found a slot machine that keeps paying out. And you bet they’re going to keep pulling that lever until it stops spitting out money. I’ve been tracking Hot Money flowing into Nvidia options. And by Hot Money, I mean big, fast bets that need to pay off quick. Late in today's session, someone made a jaw-dropping move, buying 3,500 call options in the July 19, 2024, $1,260 strike. That’s an $18.8 million bet. Now, will Nvidia shares keep climbing? It’s hard to ignore a bet of that size. Just last week, I thought Nvidia’s stock was at nosebleed levels. Today? It’s downright insane. This has been Wall Street’s best trick all year, and they’ll ride it until the wheels fall off. But here’s the thing. I’m sitting back and waiting for gravity to do its job. Trading your own money means you’re the boss. You decide when to jump in and when to sit out. Sure, you might miss out sometimes, but that’s the game. You have to be okay with that. Remember, Wall Street will keep playing the same game until it stops working. And when it does, you don’t want to be the one left holding the bag.
