We saw a huge swing higher for Bitcoin and Ethereum, a sign that there’s plenty of money on the sideline ready to attack our ongoing bout of monetary inflation. It’s quite an interesting market with the 10-year bond at 4.4%. I still argue that the 10-year yield needs to go up… not down over the next few years, and the Treasury Department is still dealing with a massive refinancing challenge. We can only use the market as a hedge and look to outpace inflation and the money pump. We’re Green across the board, and Energy is getting a bid. Great time to revisit the midstream sector. --------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Fellow Expat: Now they make new movies in old black and white With happy endings, where nobody fights So if you find yourself in that nostalgic rage Honey, jump right up and show your age Now, picture a 43-year-old man who wants to swim. Arriving at the gym in the morning in a black T-shirt and a pair of Levi Khaki jeans. Getting to the locker room… only to discover that the swim trunks I’d pulled from the laundry still sat on the bed. No one wants to watch a man swim in pants. So, I did what I could. I used the sauna for 30 minutes and then took a shower. I’m not sure where the music came from, but I found myself singing Jimmy Buffett… I wish I had a pencil-thin mustache The "Boston Blackie" kind A two-toned Ricky Ricardo jacket And an autographed picture of Andy Devine And with that… the chorus built. Another shower… a man leaving the sauna… a high school lacrosse player with a shaggy haircut. And that’s how it went… the entire song. Until we found ourselves all the way at the final bridge. Yeah, Bryl-cream, a little dab'll do ya Oh, I could do some cruisin' too A dozen men from all walks of life - ages 18 to 81, belting out Pencil Thin Mustache… A morning conquered… And then, a few nods, goodbyes, and then silence in the locker room.
