A big shift in educational pursuits is happening among the younger generations. It will have more than economic costs... it will change the social structures too. ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏   ͏    Forwarded this email? [Garrett {NAME}]( Apr 4   [READ IN APP](   Market Update: And here… we go… Volatility up… energy up… crypto holding against monetary inflation… We’re not into the red… but we have a flashing signal. Giddy up. As I’ve warned… all week… sending out multiple messages to hedge… It’s getting mighty dangerous due to rising yields, bank reserves, and liquidity concerns. This decline did NOT come out of nowhere… and now we have a BIG rise in selling across the S&P 500. It’s only a 1% day… and we haven’t had any 2% days in forever. But make no mistake, this market is under temporary pressure. There was a reason I was bearish after the Fed meeting in March. If tax payments are too high, it will impact liquidity over the short term. But do yourself a favor as this comes. Be ready to buy this dip… because the Fed will likely taper QT in May… and consider a rate cut by July. Then, the monetary inflation game just carries on, kids. If you’re not a member of Republic Risk, now is the time. If you want to know the exact moment when equity signals turn red… be sure to give us a spin. [Plus, it’s a good time to brush up on our negative momo rules](. [Upgrade to paid]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Fellow Expat: A father in New York City might want a child to marry a doctor, lawyer, or banker. Here in the Florida Republic… I’m pulling for a plumber or a contractor. I say this partially in jest - but the American future is quite dynamic. The cost of college and the associated education debt are no longer justifiable. Artificial Intelligence is coming for a wealth of white-collar jobs. As I recently noted, nearly 18% of all jobs worldwide could be displaced by AI. For those who survive the “White Collar AI Purge,” here’s a warning… Working for a “firm” or “hospital” is brutal… It will get even worse. You’d better be good at politics. Or you were born into the right club. But the plumber, the contractor, and the other “Dirty Jobs…” Now is their time. My grandfathers and uncles worked blue-collar jobs and were firmly part of the Middle Class. It seems Generation Z has woken up. These jobs aren’t a pathway to the Middle Class. They’re a pathway to America's Upper Middle and even Wealthier Classes. Gen Z is increasingly saying, “Goodbye college… hello… working with your hands.” This is an absolute wealth revolution… The Blue Collar Generation Vocational school enrollment was up 16% in 2023 for two-year schools with a 'high vocational program focus, writes The National Student Clearing House. Add in a 23% jump in students pursuing construction and a 7% bump in HVAC, vehicle maintenance, and repair programs. And why not? There’s $1.4 trillion in U.S. student debt, with the average paying $37,000. Of course, doctors, lawyers, and MBAs take on much more (I know the latter). [These are insane costs.]( One report shows that top elite liberal arts colleges are all-in this year at $90,000. Harvard University will run $91,000, while Boston University (are you freaking kidding me) is going to be $90,000. For a single school year (side note: University of Florida tuition is $6,500 in-state, and it’s a top-25 school in the country.) Boston University [is ranked 43rd overall](. But what are you getting from that… aside from a solid dose of indoctrination? Trust in American colleges is plunging. Gallup polling noted last July that the percentage of Americans who trusted higher education dropped by 57% in 2015 to 36% last year. Meanwhile, plenty of young people are sharing their blue-collar experiences on TikTok and social media. They’re working 60-hour weeks, getting great overtime benefits, adding retirement benefits, and guaranteed work year-round during the ongoing shortage of workers. Best of all… the bulk of these jobs are AI-proof. Artificial intelligence might be able to replace English majors, journalism majors, sociologists, linguists, and even mathematicians… forcing many of them to serve coffee in the future. But AI isn’t going to fix your toilet, install HVAC systems, wire plumping through 15 walls in your home, hang ceiling fans, or install lighting. These kids know what they’re doing. The Impact of AI AI is coming for jobs. I invested in an AI legal company last year, and I can already see that the quality of research and contract drafting will not only be better in future iterations… but infinitely faster than the work that some first-year law firm employees do. So, imagine being in your 20s and wanting to start a family… Your choices in finding a partner are a second-year law student with $150,000 in debt and big obstacles to overcome the rising threat of AI in the industry… or a 30-year-old high school graduate with a contracting business, $160,000 a year in his pocket, and zero debt… In a world… where every cost is rising, it’ll also be good to have a person who can fix the windows (I just replaced one window for $1,100), add a bedroom to an existing house, or clear land for growing a garden. That’s the social side of it. Meanwhile, law students without money will pay off loans, while contractors can invest. And what will the contractor invest in? I’m sure he or she will have a rental property or two. But imagine the irony when they’re putting money into the technologies replacing white-collar workers. That’s what an AI Revolution can do. And I welcome a wealth revolution for blue-collar workers - the people who actually build our physical world. Of course, none of that is possible without energy sources. While we’re electrifying cars, trucks, and trains in California and eventually (gulp) airplanes, artificial intelligence will require an incredible amount of energy. AI will require more energy in the future than the NATION OF ARGENTINA. But we know that certain climate alarmists won’t allow coal or gas to thrive. And we know that we can’t scale wind or solar… [So what will it be?]( It’s not just ordinary nuclear or uranium. [It has to be something else.]( We’re talking about a [true Keystone already exploited by famed AI experts]( and investors like Bill Gates, Peter Theil, Sam Altman, Warren Buffett, and Jeff Bezos. For the last time, [I invite you to learn about this Keystone]( its possibilities, and how it will revolutionize the future… all while sliding under the radar of traditional investors. As I said yesterday, [this is a generational opportunity]( One of the best since the dawn of the internet.
